² ·I [^TMy soul] thirst for the living God.
    When can I go to ·meet with [^Lsee] ·him [^Lthe face of God]?
³ Day and night, my tears have been my food.
People are always saying,
    “Where is your God?”
⁴ When I remember these things,
    I ·speak with a broken heart [^Lpour out my soul].
I used to walk with the ·crowd [throng]
    and lead them to ·God’s Temple [^Lthe house of God]
with ·songs of praise [^Lthe sound of praise and thanks, a crowd in procession].
